You can also call 248-524-3570 to register and pay over the phone.\n\nJoin us each month for history talks led by guest presenters or Village staff on a variety of topics\, while enjoying a cup of tea and a sweet treat!\n\n\nPresented by the National Park Service\, join Joseph Dowd from River Raisin National Battlefield Park to learn how territorial Michigan’s inhabitants developed a style of fashion seen nowhere else from the toques of French voyagers\, the beadwork of the Anishinaabe and Wyandot tribes\, and the dandyism of the Regency period. Scroll down to register.\n\nWhat to Expect\nWhen you arrive\, head inside the side gate of the Main Building and turn right at the Gazebo towards the Old Troy Church (large white building with a steeple). Go inside the Old Troy Church to check-in or purchase your ticket. If there are multiple people in your group\, please be sure to arrive with your whole party and check-in under the name of the person who purchased the tickets.\n\nAfter you check-in\, please grab your tea and cookies before you take your seat. You are welcome to refill your cup and plate throughout the presentation. The presentation will begin with announcements by a Village staff member and then the presenter will give a 45-60 minute talk with time for questions at the end. Some presenters may have a small display of related artifacts or be selling their book related to the talk.\n\nInside the Church are pews and standard wooden chairs to sit during the presentation. The building has a ramp entrance and accessible bathrooms inside. Assisted listening devices are available\, please ask a staff member if you would like to use one.\n\nAt the end of your program\, you will exit through the gate on the side of the Main Building. We would be happy to convert your registration into a tax-deductible donation and send a receipt upon request.\nDo I need to bring my own cup? No\, we will supply everyone with a paper cup. You are welcome to bring your own teacup to use at your own risk.\nWill there be a place for me to sit down and enjoy my tea? Yes! You will be able to sit in padded church pews and standard wooden chairs.\nIs this event held rain or shine? Yes! This program takes place entirely indoors\, so please come as long as you feel comfortable with the weather. We do monitor the weather and will adjust our programs as necessary.\nWill I be able to get around easily using my wheelchair or walker? Yes! The Village offers three accessible parking spaces in our west parking lot. The Old Troy Church has a wheelchair-accessible entryway\, is connected to the parking lot by a paved pathway\, and has wheelchair-accessible restrooms. Everyone will need to register for the event.\nWill food be available? Troy Historic Village does not sell food. We occasionally feature local vendors to provide food for sale during Village programming\, or we may offer food from local vendors included in your registration price. Included in your Thursday Tea registration is a cup of tea and a sweet treat (sugar-free and gluten-free options are available). *Please note we are a peanut free facility.\nCan I bring my dog? Only service animals are allowed at the Village. We strive to make sure everyone feels safe and comfortable\, so please leave your pets at home.\n\nParking & Arrival\nTroy Historic Village is located at 60 W. Wattles Road\, Troy MI 48098 (northwest corner of Wattles and Livernois). There are two parking lots at the Village and you can park in either one. After you park\, head inside the side gate of the Main Building (large\, red brick building facing Wattles). We will have green and white signs to direct your path.
